Cerebral hemorrhagic contusion in a patient with corpus callosal dysgenesis and pericallosal lipoma

Presentation

Road traffic accident.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Male

The CT scan demonstrates:

  • right frontal hemorrhagic contusion
  • left parietal subgaleal hematoma
  • pericallosal well-defined lobular mass (5.4 x 4.4 x 4 cm) of fatty density with punctate peripheral calcification in keeping with pericallosal lipoma (tubulonodular type)
  • dysgenesis of the corpus callosum with a racing car appearance of the lateral ventricles on axial images and colpocephaly (dilatation of the trigones and occipital horns)
