Presentation
The patient presented with a severe headache, neurological deficits, and vomiting.
Patient Data
There is diffuse hypodensity with a loss of grey-white matter differentiation in the right frontal lobe. A few hyperdense foci are observed within this area consistent with blood. A hyperdense linear structure, probably a cortical vein, overlies the abnormality extending to the superior sagittal sinus which is also hyperdense.
A 5 mm hyperdense lesion is seen in the roof of the 3rd ventricle consistent with a colloid cyst.
Case Discussion
Venous infarction in the right frontal lobe with hemorrhagic transformation (possibly right cortical vein thrombosis) and a tiny colloid cyst of the third ventricle.
