Presentation

Intermittent painless vaginal bleeding.

Patient Data

Age: 55 years
Gender: Female

  • barrel-shaped thickening and loss of normal low signal intensity in the cervix uteri, limited to the cervix, measuring 25 x 30 x 42 mm (T1b)

  • no evidence of pelvic and para-aortic lymph node involvement (N0)

  • no distance metastasis (M0)

  • the inspissated secretions within the endometrial cavity due to infiltrated cervical mass

  • fluid equivalent signal cystic lesion measuring about 7 x 10 mm with a thin post-contrast rim of enhancements along with right liver lobe segment VII

  • right-sided oophorectomy

The patient underwent hysteroscopy and biopsy. The pathology report indicated uterine cervix invasive squamous cell carcinoma.

Case Discussion

Known case of cervical cancer, stage IB3 according to the FIGO staging system and stage T1bN0M0 according to TMN staging system.
