Fusiform dilatation of the extrahepatic bile duct is noted without any dilatation of intrahepatic biliary radicles, suggestive of type I choledochal cyst. No obstructive lesion of choledocholithiasis. Few small calculi are noted in the gallbladder.
Case Discussion
Choledochal cyst is a cystic congenital dilatation of biliary tree. There are six types of bile duct cysts according to the Todani classification.
Cyst resection and hepatico-jejunostomy is treatment of choice.
