Patient Data

Diverticulum along mid-CBD, measuring approximately 18 x 24 x 18 mm. A few low-signal filling defects are seen in its dependent part suggesting calculi. The proximal of CBD/CHD are dilated, measuring approximately 10 mm in maximum diameter.

No obvious intrahepatic biliary radical dilatation is seen in the present scan.

The gallbladder is distended with no obvious calculi, wall thickening, or pericholecystic edema. The cystic duct is possibly inserted adjacent to the superior aspect of the diverticulum.

Mild high confluence of CBD and MPD is seen. Otherwise, MPD is unremarkable.

Normal morphology and signal intensity of the pancreas are seen. No peripancreatic collection or pseudocyst is noted.

Case Discussion

Findings are consistent with choledochal cyst type II.
