Presentation

Intellectual disability and muffled speech.

Patient Data

Age: 25
Gender: Female

Midline isolated cleft palate and alveolus associated with derangement of incisors and canine teeth are seen.

The overlying lip is intact.

Case Discussion

An isolated cleft palate is a type of facial cleft. This is a much rarer occurrence than a cleft lip +/- palate and is thought to represent a different pathological entity.
