Presentation

Persistent nasal obstruction for 3 years, snoring and sleep breathing disturbance.

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Female

Bony defect in the anterior aspect of left side hard palate. It extends from lateral aspect of left incisor tooth posteriorly along the hard palate in left paramedian plane.

The defect is covered by soft tissues of roof of the mouth.

There is orthodontic brace and open bite malocclusion.

Deviated nasal septum towards left side with bone spur indenting left inferior nasal turbinate. Depressed floor of left nasal cavity with hypertrophied left inferior nasal turbinate.

Left external ear canal wax.

Case Discussion

Patient with dental disorders referred from ENT clinic for chronic nasal obstruction. She has a vertical scar on left side of her upper lip and asymmetric appearance of the nose.
