Presentation
Congenital cardiac anomalies. Pre-operative assessment.
Patient Data
Severe short narrowing of the descending aorta just distal to the left subclavian artery, and proximal to the ductus arteriosus, therefore, the blood supply to the descending aorta is via a patent ductus arteriosus.
An associated aberrant right subclavian artery is noted, arising from the post-stenotic descending aorta, and coursing behind both trachea, and esophagus.
Bilateral lung consolidation with air bronchogram as well as ground-glass opacities.
Case Discussion
CT features of coarctation of the aorta with a patent ductus arteriosus and an aberrant right subclavian artery (arteria lusoria).
