Case Discussion

Contraceptive implants are usually implanted within the non-dominant arms, just above the elbow, and within the anteromedial soft tissues. They are usually superficial and palpable for ease of removal or replacement without the need for imaging.

An implant within the right upper limb is either an error or the patient is left-handed.

In this instance, the patient confirmed right-handedness.
