Presentation

Right-sided abdominal pain and elevated WBC. Unable to visualize appendix on ultrasound. Evaluate for appendicitis.

Patient Data

Age: 14 years
Gender: Female
ct

The right kidney is not identified in the right renal fossa and is fused to the lower pole of the left kidney with an oblique orientation. The kidneys enhance normally. No focal renal parenchymal abnormality is seen. There is no evidence for hydronephrosis or hydroureter.

Case Discussion

This is a case of crossed fused renal ectopia. This was an incidental finding.
