Markedly dilated ventricular system in keeping with hydrocephalus.
Turbulence caused by CSF flow resulted in abnormal mass-like lesion within the suprasellar cistern and third ventricle with high FLAIR and low T2 signal. The rest of the study shows no evidence of a mass even in post-contrast images.
A small CSF pulsation artifact is also seen at the left lateral ventricle.
Case Discussion
MRI brain shows T2 signal loss and FLAIR increased signal of the CSF in the third ventricle resulting from turbulent CSF flow.
