Presentation

Chronic pain. No trauma.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Female
mri

Focal peroneus longus tendon sheath high signal. Bone marrow edema of the lateroplantar ridge of the cuboid bone deep to the peroneus longus tendon sheath.

Retrocalcaneal bursal effusion with subjacent calcaneal bone marrow edema.

Type 2 accessory navicular.

Case Discussion

MRI findings of a cuboid pulley lesion with mild bone marrow edema of the lateroplantar ridge of the cuboid bone. This finding is proposed to be asymptomatic but is associated with peroneal tenosynovitis, Achilles enthesitis, and inflammatory arthritis 1.
