The extensor pollicis brevis and abductor pollicis longus tendons show marked focal thickening with associated hypoechogenicity due to edema. Spindle-shaped peritenon thickening is best appreciated in long axis view of the tendons. Striking hypervascularity is also noted. The contralateral tendons are unremarkable and are shown for comparison.
