Presentation

Collapsed at work. History of pneumothorax on right side.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Male

ETT in situ.

The left costophrenic angle is partially excluded from the film.

Deep left costophrenic angle.

Normal right costophrenic angle.

No midline shift. 

Case Discussion

Deep sulcus sign is indicative of a pneumothorax on supine film.

This patient died and pneumothorax was proven at postmortem.
