The spinal canal shows a splitting of the spinal cord (two visualized hemicords) in the thoracolumbar region suggesting split cord malformation (diastematomyelia).
At the L3 level, there is a bony defect with protruding elements suggesting meningocele.

This case represents the typical sonographic features of diastematomyelia which is a type of spinal dysraphism that can be diagnosed antenatally and neonatally.
