Lower lumbar spondylodegenerative changes at L4/5 and L5/S1 seen as decreased disc height and dehydration signal.
L4/5 diffuse posterior disc bulge with central protrusion, encroaching upon bilateral neural recesses and exit foramina.
L5/S1 left posterolateral disc protrusion encroaching upon left neural recess and exit foramen. It shows focal annular tear with sequestrated disc material that shows subligamentous caudal migration.
Case Discussion
Disc sequestration refers to herniation of disc material beyond the confines of the disc.
