Presentation

Low back pain.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Male
mri

Lower lumbar spondylodegenerative changes at L4/5 and L5/S1 seen as decreased disc height and dehydration signal.

L4/5 diffuse posterior disc bulge with central protrusion, encroaching upon bilateral neural recesses and exit foramina.

L5/S1 left posterolateral disc protrusion encroaching upon left neural recess and exit foramen. It shows focal annular tear with sequestrated disc material that shows subligamentous caudal migration.
