Presentation
Pain at the medial, volar aspect of wrist; marker placed at the site of interest.
Patient Data
Distal radio-ulnar joint subluxation is seen with high grade tear of palmar radioulnar ligament.
Thickening and hyperintensity of extensor carpi ulnaris tendon. Longitudinal interstitial tear seen extending from distal ulna to proximal aspect of triquetrum. Overlying subsheath appears intact with no evidence of subluxation.
TFCC is unremarkable.
Case Discussion
The site of pain marker corresponds to extensor carpi ulnaris which is thickened and hyperintense consistent with tendinosis. Longitudinal interstitial tear seen. Findings explain the patient's symptoms at that particular site.
