A 75 × 30 × 50 mm polypoid intraluminal enhancing mass is noted in the second part of the duodenum that infiltrates the ampulla of Vater, causing intra- and extra-hepatic bile ducts dilatation.

The uterus contains a few small fibroids.

Case Discussion

Pathology-proven duodenal adenocarcinoma, which is the most common primary malignancy of the duodenum and represents only 0.3% of all gastrointestinal malignancies.

More than 50% of them have metastases at the time of diagnosis.

Pancreaticoduodenectomy is required for tumors of the first and second portions of the duodenum.
