Elongation of the transverse process of the C7 vertebra is noted bilaterally, more prominent on the left side. No cervical rib.
Case Discussion
The elongated C7 transverse process is an anatomical variant that may cause thoracic outlet syndrome due to compression of the brachial plexus or subclavian vessels as they pass through the superior thoracic aperture.
