Endometrial adenocarcinoma

Presentation

Menometrorrhagia.

Patient Data

Age: 55 years
Gender: Female
mri

There is an ovoid mass distending the endometrial cavity and invading less than 50% of the anterior myometrial thickness, measuring 42 x 23 x 13 mm. It elicits an intermediate signal on TI, high signal on T2 with moderate and heterogeneous enhancement on postcontrast sequences with restricted diffusion. No pelvic lymphadenopathy is seen.

Bilateral ovarian masses measuring 26 x 20 x 18 mm on the right and 23 x 21 x 16 mm on the left, of intermediate signal on T1, low signal on T2 with minimal enhancement.

Right obturator externus bursitis is noted (Incidental finding).

Case Discussion

MRI features of an endometrial tumor, pathologically proven as a well-differentiated endometrial adenocarcinoma with bilateral ovarian masses probably ovarian fibromas (atypical features for ovarian metastases).
