An extra-axial left side cerebellopontine angle cistern lesion showing low signal in the T1 WI, high signal in the T2 WI but intermediate/low signal in the FLAIR, and restricted diffusion measuring about 2.4 x 1.2 x 3 cm in maximum dimensions.
The lesion is exerting mass effect on the left side of the pons with no edema.
Case Discussion
They are derived from desquamated epithelium and characteristically show restricted diffusion. Cerebellopontine angle cistern is the most common location. Surgery is the treatment of choice for symptomatic patients.
