Dystonic seizures

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
mri

Mineralization of bilateral globi pallidi, dentate nuclei, bilateral frontal periventricular white matter, appearing hyperintense on T1 images with blooming on GRE images. Ill defined T2 hyperintensities are seen in globi pallidi.

CT confirming the presence of calcifications in the above mentioned locations.

Case Discussion

Findings are consistent with Fahr syndrome.
