Case Discussion

Venous aneurysms are solitary dilations of a venous segment that communicates with a main vein through a single channel. Venous aneurysms are not a frequent pathology and are sometimes diagnosed as soft tissue formations, adenopathies, or hernias. A double or greater increase in the diameter of a normal vein is considered aneurysmal. Femoral vein aneurysms can also be a source of pulmonary embolism.
