Image taken from the case of a ganglioglioma (RMH Neuropathology, rID: 39123). Indirect chromogenic immunohistochemistry for neuronal nuclear antigen (NeuN) shows intense uptake in the nucleus and less intense uptake in the cytoplasm and axon.
Background astrocyte nuclei are identified with the hematoxylin (blue) counterstain.
