Left-sided high signal around tendons of the gluteus medius and minimus muscles, most prominent at the insertion on the greater trochanter. Associated free fluid between gluteus medius and maximus, in keeping with partial tearing of the gluteus medius tendon and associated trochanteric bursitis. No complete tear.
Case Discussion
Findings consistent with greater trochanter pain syndrome, associated with trochanteric bursitis and partial injury of the gluteus medius tendon at its insertion site on the greater trochanter.
