Diffuse synovial thickening, with hypointense signal, presenting magnetic susceptibility artifacts on GRE sequences, denoting hemosiderin deposition (blooming artifact).
Diffuse narrowing of joint spaces with subchondral bony erosions with hemosiderin content.
Case Discussion
The features are consistent with hemophilic arthropathy in a patient with a long-standing diagnosis.
There is proliferative synovitis with hemosiderin due to repeated episodes of hemarthrosis, with erosion and degenerative changes of the joint spaces.
