Mild-to-moderate abdominopelvic free fluid, more notable on the right side.
The liver shows a fluid-density lesion in segment V with inner layer detachment (waterlily sign). Features suggest a hydatid cyst with possible rupture.
Case Discussion
Liver involvement in hydatid disease is the most common hydatid form, this patient presented with abdominal pain and tenderness with abdominopelvic ascites raising the concern of hepatic hydatid rupture as the cause of ascitis and pain.
