Presentation

Gradual and progressive lower limb weakness and spasticity from 4 years.

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Male

The anterior two-thirds of the corpus callosum is markedly thin, with preserved signal intensity.

Bilateral symmetrical hyperintense signal in T2w and FLAIR sequences at the tip of frontal horns of lateral ventricles, region of forceps minor, give the ears of the lynx appearance.

Case Discussion

Ears of the lynx sign in FLAIR and T2W images at tip of frontal horns of lateral ventricles is highly specific sign of hereditary spastic paraplegia with thin corpus callosum.
