Presentation

Primary infertility.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Female

Hysterosalpingogram

Fluoroscopy

Apparently, dextroposition of the uterus is observed.

There is a smooth concave indentation of the uterine fundus suggesting arcuate uterus.

The right fallopian tube is visualized and normal spillage of contrast noted at its fimbrial end.

Typical hydrosalpinx with complete distal block is observed in the left fallopian tube.

Case Discussion

Left-sided hydrosalpinx refers to a dilated fluid-filled fallopian tube, filling with contrast without free spillage into the peritoneal cavity.
