Thick-walled mass with a hyperechoic core displaying the target sign and pseudokidney sign.
The intussusceptum core contains multiple discrete lymph nodes and has reduced vascularity on the color Doppler.
Case Discussion
This patient had the typical ultrasound features of ileocolic intussusception. The barium enema was deferred, and the child had open surgery on account of suspected bowel ischemia in the intussusceptum.
