Presentation

Chest pain, shortness of breath

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Female

A small metallic object was seen projecting over the left lower lobe pulmonary artery - consistent with an implantable pulmonary artery pressure monitor device.

Cardiac loop recorder device.

Endotracheal tube with its tip 2.8 cm proximal to the carina.

Atelectatic bands in bilateral lungs.

CT pulmonary embolism was done to rule out pulmonary embolism.

Coronal bone window images and axial soft mediastinal window images: showing the metallic device in the left lower lobe segmental artery.

No evidence of pulmonary thromboembolism.
