A small area of altered signal intensity of the left para-midline of inferior pons appears hyperintense in T2W and FLAIR sequences and shows restricted diffusion in DW/ADC.

Inferior medial pontine syndrome (Foville syndrome) is a brainstem stroke syndrome which describes acute infarction of the medial inferior pons, due to occlusion of paramedian branches of the basilar artery.
