Abnormal position of the internal epicondule. Small elbow joint effusion.
Case Discussion
Knowing the order of ossification centers at the elbow is vital when an assessment of the elbow is made. It is also important to know where the ossifications centers should be and what they look at at different ages.
In this case, the internal ossification center is incorrectly positioned and there is overlying soft-tissue swelling (another helpful sign).
