Left foot pain. History of trauma at home.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Male

5th toe proximal interphalangeal joint dislocation.

The middle and distal phalanges of the 5th toe may be fused (symphalangism).

Case Discussion

Interphalangeal joint dislocation of the toes is much more uncommon compared to fingers. The big toe is more commonly involved than the lesser toes. It is usually treated by closed reduction.
