Abdominal distension and vomiting and restlessness.

Patient Data

Age: 3 years
Gender: Male

Ultrasound signs include:

  • target sign in the RLQ

  • pseudokidney sign

  • a lead point within the intussusceptum mass, which appear to be lymph nodes

  • multiple lymph nodes with the largest SAD 9mm in RLQ

  • presents bowel wall hyperemia

Case Discussion

Intussusception reduction was performed in this pediatric patient who had an ileocolic intussusception.

Hydrostatic reduction under US guidance was done, and after reduction, the patient was followed by ultrasound every 6 hours until becoming symptom-free.
