Gas-containing walled-off collection in the small bowel mesentery. Adjacent are inflamed jejunal diverticula.
Uncomplicated colonic diverticular disease is also noted. Cholecystectomy with expected biliary tree dilatation.
Case Discussion
Jejunal diverticulitis is rare. It tends to occur in older patients, and can often present with an intra-abdominal collection representing a contained perforation as in this case.
