Pain in lateral aspect of foot

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Female
x-ray

Transverse fracture is seen within the metadiaphysis of 5th metatarsal bone approximately 2.5 cm from tip of styloid process representing jones fracture.

Case Discussion

Jones fracture is located at the the junction of metadiaphysis of 5th metatarsal bone. It has horizontal course and occurs within 3 cm from the tip of styloid process of 5th metatarsal.
