Case contributed by Monica Morales Monzón
Diagnosis certain

Presentation

Incidental findings in a cirrhotic patient.

Patient Data

Age: 75 years
Gender: Male
ct

Right aortic arch and aberrant left subclavian artery with aneurysmal retro-esophageal segment.

Tortuous descending thoracic aorta crosses to the left and has a kinked appearance.

Otherwise normal cardiovascular anatomy.

Case Discussion

The right aortic arch is an uncommon vascular anomaly associated with variant branch anatomy. Aberrant left subclavian artery and Kommerell diverticulum can cause tracheoesophageal compression due to its size and location. Aneurysmal dilatation can be complicated by dissection or rupture.
