There is a small focus of restricted diffusion involving the left posterolateral aspect of the medulla. There is a corresponding high signal intensity on both T2 and FLAIR images.
The intracranial portion of the right vertebral artery is not visualized.
Case Discussion
Findings are consistent with left lateral medullary syndrome.
