Case Discussion
Scoliosis may be related to congenital abnormalities, neuromuscular diseases, or secondarily to degenerative changes. Lumbosacral transitional vertebra is a congenital abnormality that can alter the mechanical balance responsible for spinal stability resulting in scoliosis, especially in cases with unilateral sacralization 1,2.
