A thick-walled cavity with air-fluid level and smooth margins in the right middle lobe. The left lung is clear.
Case Discussion
Plain radiographic findings are suggestive of lung abscess. The typical appearance of lung abscess is a thick-walled cavity with air-fluid level and smooth well defined margins. The differential diagnosis include bronchogenic carcinoma and cavitatory pulmonary metastasis.
