A small well corticated bone fragment is noted at the radial aspect of the base of the 2nd proximal phalanx which is likely an old avulsion fracture. No recent bone fracture or dislocation is noted. No gross soft tissue abnormality is seen. Incidental finding of complete osseous coalition of the lunate and triquetrum (lunotriquetral coalition).
Case Discussion
Findings are consistent with complete osseous lunotriquetral coalition, which is the commonest type of carpal coalition and is usually asymptomatic, like our case.
