Bileaflet mechanical aortic valve. The right leaflet moves normally, opening in systole and closing in diastole. The left leaflet doesn't move and is stuck almost completely open.
Case Discussion
This patient presented with dyspnea and pulmonary edema on the CXR, likely secondary to malfunctioning of the bileaflet mechanical valve. One of the leaflets was stuck almost completely open, likely leading to aortic regurgitation.
