The left-sided PICC does not extend centrally to the superior vena cava. The PICC enters the left internal jugular vein and curls upon itself.
Other findings include diminished lung volumes and extensive linear/reticular opacities.
The left PICC was repositioned. A follow-up chest radiograph was ordered.

The PICC now terminates within the superior vena cava.
Pulmonary findings are grossly unchanged.
Case Discussion
This is a case of a PICC that coiled within the internal jugular vein. After several attempts, the PICC remained malpositioned. The patient had the PICC placed under fluoroscopy, which now terminates within the superior vena cava.
