Presentation

Right elbow injury during throwing - one month ago. Presented with a complaint of throwing difficulty

Patient Data

Age: 15 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

Avulsion of medial epicondyle of the distal humerus. No associated adjacent humeral metaphyseal fracture. No bone dislocation/ bone lesion.

ultrasound

Common flexor tendon and ulnar collateral ligaments are attached to the avulsed medial epicondyle. A normal ulnar nerve in the elbow region.

The asymptomatic side was examined for comparison which was normal findings.

Case Discussion

The case shows a humeral medial epicondyle avulsion fracture. Tenson band wiring was done. The collateral ligament and common flexure tendon were intact.
