Presentation

Posterior dislocation of elbow a few days prior. The post-reduction radiograph showed a dislocated medial epicondyle. Referred for an ultrasound to check the ulnar nerve.

Patient Data

Age: 10 years
Gender: Male
ultrasound

There is an anterior dislocation of the medial epicondyle of the humerus.​ The ulnar nerve shows normal location and echo pattern.

The asymptomatic side shows normal location of the medial epicondyle.

Case Discussion

The ultrasound shows a dislocated medial epicondyle of the humerus in a patient with a recent history of posterior dislocation of the elbow.
