Case Discussion

This case demonstrated features of a medial meniscus tear with a parameniscal cyst. Parameniscal cysts are almost always associated with horizontal meniscal tears. MRI is an effective diagnostic method for detecting parameniscal cysts and underlying meniscal tears.  A synovial cyst, baker cyst, ganglion cyst, bursitis, hematoma, and cystic neoplasms should be considered in the differential diagnosis of parameniscal cysts.
