Presentation
Loss of consciousness and memory distubance.
Patient Data
Large extra-axial homogenously enhancing mass lesion in the left middle cranial fossa with perilesional edema and compression of the adjacent left temporal lobe associated with uncal herniation
High signal foci in T2 and flair sequences at subcortical and centrum semiovale white matter of both hemispheres depict microvascular ischemic events.
The mass was excised and the histopathology result was compatible with meningioma, syncytial type, WHO grade I.
Case Discussion
The patient proceeded to craniotomy and resection of the left middle cranial fossa mass and histopathology findings were found to be consistent with meningioma.
