Molar pregnancy

Diagnosis probable

Presentation

Primigravida presenting with spotting per vagina and lower abdominal cramps for 4 days, following 10 weeks of amenorrhea.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Female
ultrasound

Bulky uterus entirely filled with a mixed solid and cystic mass having defined hyperechoic margins. No definite gestational sac is seen. Myometrial walls appear homogeneous, and the internal cervical os is closed.

Case Discussion

The ultrasound findings and a positive pregnancy test indicated a molar pregnancy. The patient was referred for evacuation.
