Bilateral knee pain

Gender: Male
x-ray

Anteroposterior radiograph depicts well-corticated ossicles contiguous with the superolateral patellae borders. There are tripartite and bipartite patellae on the right and left respectively. 

Case Discussion

Multipartite patella is a congenital normal variant pathology due to failure of fusion during development. The well rounded edges of the unfused fragments excludes a patella fracture.
